Scope of this page
This policy describes cookies and similar browser-storage technologies used by the SailQuiz website. It does not apply to the SailQuiz mobile app, which does not use cookies. The app does include a limited set of product analytics events handled through mobile SDKs — those are covered in our Privacy Policy.

Analytics cookies
With your consent, we use PostHog analytics to understand how the site is used and improve the learning experience. These cookies are off by default and only enabled if you opt in. No analytics data is collected or sent until you grant consent.

What analytics data is collected
When you opt in, we collect the following through PostHog:
- Page views and page navigation patterns
- Feature usage events, such as App Store and Google Play link clicks and support form submissions
- Device type, screen size, browser, and operating system
- Approximate country (derived from IP address; the IP itself is not stored by PostHog)
- Referring website and UTM campaign parameters
We do not collect: email content, personal messages, or any form field values. Sensitive inputs are explicitly excluded from analytics capture.
Analytics data is processed by PostHog Inc. on servers in the United States under standard contractual clauses. See PostHog's Privacy Policy for details.
Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. If you withdraw analytics consent, PostHog will stop collecting data immediately and existing analytics cookies will be cleared.
